Ricoh IM 6000, Secondhand in Sydney

Short answer: the Ricoh IM 6000 is an A3 black and white photocopier that turns out 60 pages per minute. No colour, so there is one rate to watch: mono copying, printing and scanning up to A3. Secondhand ones come renewed, refurbished or used; every machine is checked, and its page count is yours in writing before you commit.

  • 60 pages per minute on A4
  • A3 black and white: print, copy, scan
  • Three secondhand grades
  • On agreement: replaced if it fails

What is the IM 6000?

Ricoh slots the IM 6000 into its IM 2500 to 6000 range as the 60 pages per minute option. Sister models, slowest first, with pages per minute: IM 2500 (25), IM 3000 (30), IM 3500 (35), IM 4000 (40) and IM 5000 (50). From the maker's sheet, it scans double sided originals in one go, up to 120 images a minute, loads 1,200 sheets as standard and 4,700 fully optioned and feeds card up to 300 gsm. Ricoh has replaced it with the IM 6010.

How many people can share it?

Sized for thirty or more people, or a dedicated print room, going by its speed. Fewer pages to print? The IM 5000 runs at 50 pages per minute.

Which grade, and how do you pay?

Three grades. Renewed is the top one: more parts replaced, close to new, and priced above refurbished. Refurbished means cleaned, serviced, worn parts replaced and tested, and it is the grade most people choose. Used is checked and working, for the lowest outlay. Whichever IM 6000 you pick, the page count is in writing before you commit, and delivery, network connection, scanning set up and a hands on run through for staff are in the price.

Bought outright without a service agreement, the warranty depends on the machine, and we tell you what it is in writing before the sale. Add a service agreement and a failed machine is replaced at any point in the term. The rental figure on selected machines starts from $15 a week plus GST, provided finance is approved.

Four checks before buying secondhand

  • The meter reading. Pages printed so far, in writing. That number beats the build year as a guide to wear.
  • What comes with it. Extra trays, a finisher, a big paper deck: each one alters the work it can take and the figure on the quote.
  • Who looks after it. We do not sell a machine we cannot service, because a copier nobody can fix is no bargain.
  • Running cost. Get the mono and colour rates per page in writing, plus what each rate covers.

Replacement warranty

What if it fails? We replace it. Any year of the agreement.

If a machine on our service agreement fails, we replace it. That holds for new and secondhand machines alike, and for every way of paying: rental, lease, finance or an outright purchase. The cover lasts as long as the agreement does, every year of it.

A new copier normally carries the maker's warranty for 12 months, covering hardware but not consumables. Once that year is up, the service agreement carries the cover. The full terms of the replacement warranty are written into your agreement.

Questions

What people ask about the Ricoh IM 6000

Is a new IM 6000 still available?

Not new. The IM 6010 took over in Ricoh's range; a secondhand IM 6000 from us is checked, graded and looked after by us.

What is the page count on a used IM 6000?

It varies, so we put the count in writing for the exact machine you are looking at. That number tells you more than its age.

Which should I get, the IM 6000 or the IM 5000?

Same series, so the choice is speed: 60 pages per minute against 50. Tell us your headcount and monthly pages and we give you a straight answer.

Is there a rental option for the IM 6000?

Yes, with finance approval. For this exact model we put the rental figure in writing, next to the outright price; on selected machines it starts from $15 a week plus GST.
