The short version

The MP 6055 is the 60 pages per minute model in Ricoh's MP 4055 to 6055 range. The other speeds in the series are the MP 4055 (40) and MP 5055 (50), in pages per minute. From the maker's sheet, it scans double sided originals in one go, up to 110 images a minute, loads 1,200 sheets as standard and 4,700 fully optioned and feeds card up to 300 gsm. The model that took over is the IM 6000.

Will it keep up with your office?

Our rule of thumb: it suits thirty or more people, or a dedicated print room. Printing less? The MP 5055 at 50 pages per minute may be all you need.

Which grade, and how do you pay?

Every secondhand MP 6055 is checked before we offer it, and its page count is given to you in writing. Rental or lease terms reach 60 months on younger machines and run shorter on older ones, or you can pay outright. Delivery, network connection, scanning set up and a hands on run through for staff are part of the price, anywhere in greater Sydney.

Under a service agreement, if the machine fails we replace it, for as long as the agreement runs. Selected machines can be rented from $15 a week plus GST; finance needs approval first.

Four checks before buying secondhand

  • The meter reading. Pages printed so far, in writing. That number beats the build year as a guide to wear.
  • What comes with it. Extra trays, a finisher, a big paper deck: each one alters the work it can take and the figure on the quote.
  • Who looks after it. We do not sell a machine we cannot service, because a copier nobody can fix is no bargain.
  • Running cost. Get the mono and colour rates per page in writing, plus what each rate covers.

Replacement warranty

What if it fails? We replace it. Any year of the agreement.

If a machine on our service agreement fails, we replace it. That holds for new and secondhand machines alike, and for every way of paying: rental, lease, finance or an outright purchase. The cover lasts as long as the agreement does, every year of it.

A new copier normally carries the maker's warranty for 12 months, covering hardware but not consumables. Once that year is up, the service agreement carries the cover. The full terms of the replacement warranty are written into your agreement.

Questions

What people ask about the Ricoh MP 6055

Is a new MP 6055 still available?

No. Ricoh replaced it with the IM 6000, so secondhand is the way to get one, and we service every one we sell.

How much wear is on a secondhand MP 6055?

No two are the same. The count for the unit you are offered comes in writing, and it is the best single guide to wear.

Which should I get, the MP 6055 or the MP 5055?

Speed is the difference: 60 pages per minute for the MP 6055, 50 for the MP 5055. Match it to how many people share the machine.

Is there a rental option for the MP 6055?

Yes. Rental is not hire. You sign a business agreement, pay one regular amount, and the machine is serviced while you have it. Selected machines start from $15 a week plus GST, with approval.
