What a Sharp model number tells you
First two digits, speed: the MX 3071 does 30 pages a minute, the MX 4071 does 40. Watch one thing. Sharp ran a basic line alongside a fuller featured one, so two machines at the same speed can come with different features; always ask what is included. An M in the name, such as the MX M3071, means mono. The BP series came later, the BP 50C31 among them.
Who should go for a Sharp?
Watching the budget, with a small to mid sized team? The straight answer is a used MX 3071: A3 colour at 30 pages a minute, for a low outlay.
A Sharp from Sydney Copiers: what happens
Is a Sharp available new from us? No. Sharp machines come secondhand only: renewed, refurbished and used. For a new machine the choice is HP, Kyocera, Lexmark, OKI or Toshiba, and we will lay them side by side for you. Either way, the same team delivers it, installs it and services it, because we do not sell a machine we cannot service. Would rather not pay up front? Copier rental runs from $15 a week plus GST. Finance subject to approval. The lowest weekly figure applies to selected machines.

Replacement warranty
What if it fails? We replace it. Any year of the agreement.
If a machine on our service agreement fails, we replace it. That holds for new and secondhand machines alike, and for every way of paying: rental, lease, finance or an outright purchase. The cover lasts as long as the agreement does, every year of it.
A new copier normally carries the maker's warranty for 12 months, covering hardware but not consumables. Once that year is up, the service agreement carries the cover. The full terms of the replacement warranty are written into your agreement.

Can I buy a new Sharp copier?
No, Sharp is secondhand only here, used or refurbished. For new, we offer Toshiba, OKI, Kyocera, Lexmark and HP.
Which is newer, Sharp MX or BP?
BP came after MX. You can get either secondhand.
