Sharp MX 5051, Secondhand in Sydney

50 pages per minute: that is the headline figure for the Sharp MX 5051, an A3 colour photocopier. It copies and prints in colour on A4 and A3, and it scans. It is sold secondhand here in three grades, and the page count of the actual machine is put in writing before anything is signed.

  • 50 pages per minute on A4
  • A3 colour: print, copy, scan
  • Three secondhand grades
  • On agreement: replaced if it fails

What is the MX 5051?

Will it keep up with your office?

Sized for thirty or more people, or a dedicated print room, going by its speed. If that sounds tight, the MX 6051 runs at 60 pages per minute in the same series. Printing less? The MX 4051 at 40 pages per minute may be all you need.

Secondhand: grades and payment

The grade sets the outlay and the page count tells you the wear, and you get both in writing. A rental or lease can run up to 60 months, limited by the machine's age, and delivery, network connection, scanning set up and a hands on run through for staff are included.

Bought outright without a service agreement, the warranty depends on the machine, and we tell you what it is in writing before the sale. Add a service agreement and a failed machine is replaced at any point in the term. The rental figure on selected machines starts from $15 a week plus GST, provided finance is approved.

Secondhand? Check these first

  • The meter reading. Pages printed so far, in writing. That number beats the build year as a guide to wear.
  • What comes with it. Extra trays, a finisher, a big paper deck: each one alters the work it can take and the figure on the quote.
  • Who looks after it. We do not sell a machine we cannot service, because a copier nobody can fix is no bargain.
  • Running cost. Get the mono and colour rates per page in writing, plus what each rate covers.

Replacement warranty

What if it fails? We replace it. Any year of the agreement.

If a machine on our service agreement fails, we replace it. That holds for new and secondhand machines alike, and for every way of paying: rental, lease, finance or an outright purchase. The cover lasts as long as the agreement does, every year of it.

A new copier normally carries the maker's warranty for 12 months, covering hardware but not consumables. Once that year is up, the service agreement carries the cover. The full terms of the replacement warranty are written into your agreement.

Questions

What people ask about the Sharp MX 5051

What is the page count on a used MX 5051?

No two are the same. The count for the unit you are offered comes in writing, and it is the best single guide to wear.

Which should I get, the MX 5051 or the MX 6051?

Speed is the difference: 50 pages per minute for the MX 5051, 60 for the MX 6051. Match it to how many people share the machine.

Can I rent the MX 5051 rather than buy it?

Yes, once finance is approved. Selected machines can be rented from $15 a week plus GST. When the term is up, you move to a newer machine or hand this one back; send us the model for the written figures.
