The short version

Kyocera slots the TASKalfa 2553ci into its TASKalfa 2553ci series as the 25 pages per minute option. Sister models, slowest first, with pages per minute: TASKalfa 3253ci (32), TASKalfa 4053ci (40), TASKalfa 5053ci (50) and TASKalfa 6053ci (60). Useful numbers: it needs the optional single pass document feeder to reach 100 scanned images a minute, loads 1,150 sheets as standard and 7,150 fully optioned and feeds card up to 300 gsm. The model that took over is the TASKalfa 2554ci.

Who is it for?

The straight answer on size: up to around five people. Busier than that, step up to the TASKalfa 3253ci, 32 pages per minute.

What does secondhand get you?

The grade sets the outlay and the page count tells you the wear, and you get both in writing. A rental or lease can run up to 60 months, limited by the machine's age, and delivery, network connection, scanning set up and a hands on run through for staff are included.

Whatever we sell, we service, and this TASKalfa 2553ci is no exception. On a service agreement, one that fails is swapped for a working machine during the term. Rental on selected machines is priced from $15 a week plus GST, once finance is approved.

Four checks before buying secondhand

The meter reading. Pages printed so far, in writing. That number beats the build year as a guide to wear.
What comes with it. Extra trays, a finisher, a big paper deck: each one alters the work it can take and the figure on the quote.
Who looks after it. We do not sell a machine we cannot service, because a copier nobody can fix is no bargain.
Running cost. Get the mono and colour rates per page in writing, plus what each rate covers.

Want figures on the Kyocera TASKalfa 2553ci?

One line is enough. You hear if one is in, its page count and the numbers, in writing. Send it on a business day and you hear back that same day.

Replacement warranty

What if it fails? We replace it. Any year of the agreement.

If a machine on our service agreement fails, we replace it. That holds for new and secondhand machines alike, and for every way of paying: rental, lease, finance or an outright purchase. The cover lasts as long as the agreement does, every year of it.

A new copier normally carries the maker's warranty for 12 months, covering hardware but not consumables. Once that year is up, the service agreement carries the cover. The full terms of the replacement warranty are written into your agreement.

Questions

Kyocera TASKalfa 2553ci: straight answers

Is a new TASKalfa 2553ci still available?

No. Kyocera replaced it with the TASKalfa 2554ci, so secondhand is the way to get one, and we service every one we sell.

What sort of page count does a secondhand TASKalfa 2553ci carry?

It varies, so we put the count in writing for the exact machine you are looking at. That number tells you more than its age.

Which should I get, the TASKalfa 2553ci or the TASKalfa 3253ci?

Count the people printing. The TASKalfa 2553ci does 25 pages per minute and the TASKalfa 3253ci 32, in the same series.

Can I rent the TASKalfa 2553ci rather than buy it?

Yes, once finance is approved. Selected machines can be rented from $15 a week plus GST. When the term is up, you move to a newer machine or hand this one back; send us the model for the written figures.
