Kyocera TASKalfa 5053ci, Secondhand in Sydney

Kyocera rates the TASKalfa 5053ci at 50 pages per minute, and it is an A3 colour photocopier. It handles colour copies and prints up to A3, and scanning as well. Pick a grade, renewed, refurbished or used, and get the page count of that exact machine in writing first.

  • 50 pages per minute on A4
  • A3 colour: print, copy, scan

What is the TASKalfa 5053ci?

Kyocera slots the TASKalfa 5053ci into its TASKalfa 2553ci series as the 50 pages per minute option. Also in the series (pages per minute in brackets): TASKalfa 2553ci (25), TASKalfa 3253ci (32), TASKalfa 4053ci (40) and TASKalfa 6053ci (60). Worth knowing: it needs the optional single pass document feeder to reach 120 scanned images a minute, loads 1,150 sheets as standard and 7,150 fully optioned and feeds card up to 300 gsm. The model that took over is the TASKalfa 5054ci.

Who is it for?

Our rule of thumb: it suits thirty or more people, or a dedicated print room. Busier than that, step up to the TASKalfa 6053ci, 60 pages per minute. Quieter office? Look at the TASKalfa 4053ci, 40 pages per minute.

What does secondhand get you?

The grade sets the outlay and the page count tells you the wear, and you get both in writing. A rental or lease can run up to 60 months, limited by the machine's age, and delivery, network connection, scanning set up and a hands on run through for staff are included.

Under a service agreement, if the machine fails we replace it, for as long as the agreement runs. Selected machines can be rented from $15 a week plus GST; finance needs approval first.

Secondhand? Check these first

  • The meter reading. Pages printed so far, in writing. That number beats the build year as a guide to wear.
  • What comes with it. Extra trays, a finisher, a big paper deck: each one alters the work it can take and the figure on the quote.
  • Who looks after it. We do not sell a machine we cannot service, because a copier nobody can fix is no bargain.
  • Running cost. Get the mono and colour rates per page in writing, plus what each rate covers.

Replacement warranty

What if it fails? We replace it. Any year of the agreement.

If a machine on our service agreement fails, we replace it. That holds for new and secondhand machines alike, and for every way of paying: rental, lease, finance or an outright purchase. The cover lasts as long as the agreement does, every year of it.

A new copier normally carries the maker's warranty for 12 months, covering hardware but not consumables. Once that year is up, the service agreement carries the cover. The full terms of the replacement warranty are written into your agreement.

Questions

Kyocera TASKalfa 5053ci: straight answers

Is a new TASKalfa 5053ci still available?

No. Kyocera replaced it with the TASKalfa 5054ci, so secondhand is the way to get one, and we service every one we sell.

What is the page count on a used TASKalfa 5053ci?

Each machine differs. You see its actual page count, in writing, before anything is agreed; that figure says more about wear than the year does.

Which should I get, the TASKalfa 5053ci or the TASKalfa 6053ci?

Same series, so the choice is speed: 50 pages per minute against 60. Tell us your headcount and monthly pages and we give you a straight answer.

Can the TASKalfa 5053ci go on a rental agreement?

Yes. Rental is not hire. You sign a business agreement, pay one regular amount, and the machine is serviced while you have it. Selected machines start from $15 a week plus GST, with approval.
