The short version

In Kyocera's TASKalfa 2553ci series, the TASKalfa 4053ci is the one that runs at 40 pages per minute. The other speeds in the series are the TASKalfa 2553ci (25), TASKalfa 3253ci (32), TASKalfa 5053ci (50) and TASKalfa 6053ci (60), in pages per minute. From the maker's sheet, it needs the optional single pass document feeder to reach 120 scanned images a minute, loads 1,150 sheets as standard and 7,150 fully optioned and feeds card up to 300 gsm. Kyocera has replaced it with the TASKalfa 4054ci.

Secondhand, A3 colour, 40 pages per minute, in three grades.

Will it keep up with your office?

Sized for fifteen to thirty people on a busy floor, going by its speed. Busier than that, step up to the TASKalfa 5053ci, 50 pages per minute. Printing less? The TASKalfa 3253ci at 32 pages per minute may be all you need.

Which grade, and how do you pay?

Every secondhand TASKalfa 4053ci is checked before we offer it, and its page count is given to you in writing. Rental or lease terms reach 60 months on younger machines and run shorter on older ones, or you can pay outright. Delivery, network connection, scanning set up and a hands on run through for staff are part of the price, anywhere in greater Sydney.

Bought outright without a service agreement, the warranty depends on the machine, and we tell you what it is in writing before the sale. Add a service agreement and a failed machine is replaced at any point in the term. The rental figure on selected machines starts from $15 a week plus GST, provided finance is approved.

What to ask about a secondhand one

  • The meter reading. Pages printed so far, in writing. That number beats the build year as a guide to wear.
  • What comes with it. Extra trays, a finisher, a big paper deck: each one alters the work it can take and the figure on the quote.
  • Who looks after it. We do not sell a machine we cannot service, because a copier nobody can fix is no bargain.
  • Running cost. Get the mono and colour rates per page in writing, plus what each rate covers.

Replacement warranty

What if it fails? We replace it. Any year of the agreement.

If a machine on our service agreement fails, we replace it. That holds for new and secondhand machines alike, and for every way of paying: rental, lease, finance or an outright purchase. The cover lasts as long as the agreement does, every year of it.

A new copier normally carries the maker's warranty for 12 months, covering hardware but not consumables. Once that year is up, the service agreement carries the cover. The full terms of the replacement warranty are written into your agreement.

Questions

Kyocera TASKalfa 4053ci: straight answers

Is a new TASKalfa 4053ci still available?

No. Kyocera replaced it with the TASKalfa 4054ci, so secondhand is the way to get one, and we service every one we sell.

What is the page count on a used TASKalfa 4053ci?

No two are the same. The count for the unit you are offered comes in writing, and it is the best single guide to wear.

Which should I get, the TASKalfa 4053ci or the TASKalfa 5053ci?

Speed is the difference: 40 pages per minute for the TASKalfa 4053ci, 50 for the TASKalfa 5053ci. Match it to how many people share the machine.

Can the TASKalfa 4053ci go on a rental agreement?

Yes, with finance approval. For this exact model we put the rental figure in writing, next to the outright price; on selected machines it starts from $15 a week plus GST.
