The short version

The bizhub C250i is the 25 pages per minute model in Konica Minolta's bizhub C250i to C360i range. One other model shares the series: the bizhub C360i, at 36 pages per minute. From the maker's sheet, it needs the optional single pass document feeder to reach 100 scanned images a minute, loads 1,150 sheets as standard and 6,650 fully optioned and feeds card up to 300 gsm. Konica Minolta has replaced it with the bizhub C251i.

Who is it for?

The straight answer on size: up to around five people. Keep it to 16,000 pages a month or fewer, on Konica Minolta's recommendation. More people than that? The bizhub C360i is the same series at 36 pages per minute.

Which grade, and how do you pay?

The grade sets the outlay and the page count tells you the wear, and you get both in writing. A rental or lease can run up to 60 months, limited by the machine's age, and delivery, network connection, scanning set up and a hands on run through for staff are included.

Bought outright without a service agreement, the warranty depends on the machine, and we tell you what it is in writing before the sale. Add a service agreement and a failed machine is replaced at any point in the term. The rental figure on selected machines starts from $15 a week plus GST, provided finance is approved.

What to ask about a secondhand one

  • The meter reading. Pages printed so far, in writing. That number beats the build year as a guide to wear.
  • What comes with it. Extra trays, a finisher, a big paper deck: each one alters the work it can take and the figure on the quote.
  • Who looks after it. We do not sell a machine we cannot service, because a copier nobody can fix is no bargain.
  • Running cost. Get the mono and colour rates per page in writing, plus what each rate covers.

Replacement warranty

What if it fails? We replace it. Any year of the agreement.

If a machine on our service agreement fails, we replace it. That holds for new and secondhand machines alike, and for every way of paying: rental, lease, finance or an outright purchase. The cover lasts as long as the agreement does, every year of it.

A new copier normally carries the maker's warranty for 12 months, covering hardware but not consumables. Once that year is up, the service agreement carries the cover. The full terms of the replacement warranty are written into your agreement.

Questions

Konica Minolta bizhub C250i: straight answers

Is a new bizhub C250i still available?

No, Konica Minolta has moved on to the bizhub C251i. Secondhand is the route now, and whichever one you take, we service it.

What is the page count on a used bizhub C250i?

Each machine differs. You see its actual page count, in writing, before anything is agreed; that figure says more about wear than the year does.

What is the bizhub C250i's monthly page limit?

16,000 pages a month is Konica Minolta's recommended figure, and 130,000 is the rated maximum for a single month.

Which should I get, the bizhub C250i or the bizhub C360i?

Speed is the difference: 25 pages per minute for the bizhub C250i, 36 for the bizhub C360i. Match it to how many people share the machine.
