What is the TASKalfa 7054ci?

The TASKalfa 7054ci is the 70 pages per minute model in Kyocera's TASKalfa 2554ci series, from 2021. The other speeds in the series are the TASKalfa 3554ci (35), TASKalfa 4054ci (40), TASKalfa 5054ci (50) and TASKalfa 6054ci (60), in pages per minute. Useful numbers: it needs the optional single pass document feeder to reach 274 scanned images a minute, loads 1,150 sheets as standard and 7,150 fully optioned and feeds card up to 300 gsm. Kyocera has replaced it with the TASKalfa MZ7001ci.

How many people can share it?

It is the right size for thirty or more people, or a dedicated print room. Fewer pages to print? The TASKalfa 6054ci runs at 60 pages per minute.

What does secondhand get you?

Three grades. Renewed is the top one: more parts replaced, close to new, and priced above refurbished. Refurbished means cleaned, serviced, worn parts replaced and tested, and it is the grade most people choose. Used is checked and working, for the lowest outlay. Whichever TASKalfa 7054ci you pick, the page count is in writing before you commit, and delivery, network connection, scanning set up and a hands on run through for staff are in the price.

Bought outright without a service agreement, the warranty depends on the machine, and we tell you what it is in writing before the sale. Add a service agreement and a failed machine is replaced at any point in the term. The rental figure on selected machines starts from $15 a week plus GST, provided finance is approved.

Secondhand? Check these first

  • The meter reading. Pages printed so far, in writing. That number beats the build year as a guide to wear.
  • What comes with it. Extra trays, a finisher, a big paper deck: each one alters the work it can take and the figure on the quote.
  • Who looks after it. We do not sell a machine we cannot service, because a copier nobody can fix is no bargain.
  • Running cost. Get the mono and colour rates per page in writing, plus what each rate covers.

Replacement warranty

What if it fails? We replace it. Any year of the agreement.

If a machine on our service agreement fails, we replace it. That holds for new and secondhand machines alike, and for every way of paying: rental, lease, finance or an outright purchase. The cover lasts as long as the agreement does, every year of it.

A new copier normally carries the maker's warranty for 12 months, covering hardware but not consumables. Once that year is up, the service agreement carries the cover. The full terms of the replacement warranty are written into your agreement.

Questions

Kyocera TASKalfa 7054ci questions, answered

Is a new TASKalfa 7054ci still available?

No, Kyocera has moved on to the TASKalfa MZ7001ci. Secondhand is the route now, and whichever one you take, we service it.

What is the page count on a used TASKalfa 7054ci?

Each machine differs. You see its actual page count, in writing, before anything is agreed; that figure says more about wear than the year does.

Which should I get, the TASKalfa 7054ci or the TASKalfa 6054ci?

Speed is the difference: 70 pages per minute for the TASKalfa 7054ci, 60 for the TASKalfa 6054ci. Match it to how many people share the machine.

Can I rent the TASKalfa 7054ci rather than buy it?

Yes, with finance approval. For this exact model we put the rental figure in writing, next to the outright price; on selected machines it starts from $15 a week plus GST.
