The short version

Kyocera slots the TASKalfa 6054ci into its TASKalfa 2554ci series, from 2021 as the 60 pages per minute option. Also in the series (pages per minute in brackets): TASKalfa 3554ci (35), TASKalfa 4054ci (40), TASKalfa 5054ci (50) and TASKalfa 7054ci (70). Worth knowing: it needs the optional single pass document feeder to reach 274 scanned images a minute, loads 1,150 sheets as standard and 7,150 fully optioned and feeds card up to 300 gsm. Kyocera has replaced it with the TASKalfa MZ6001ci.

How many people can share it?

The straight answer on size: thirty or more people, or a dedicated print room. More people than that? The TASKalfa 7054ci is the same series at 70 pages per minute. Fewer pages to print? The TASKalfa 5054ci runs at 50 pages per minute.

Secondhand: grades and payment

Three grades. Renewed is the top one: more parts replaced, close to new, and priced above refurbished. Refurbished means cleaned, serviced, worn parts replaced and tested, and it is the grade most people choose. Used is checked and working, for the lowest outlay. Whichever TASKalfa 6054ci you pick, the page count is in writing before you commit, and delivery, network connection, scanning set up and a hands on run through for staff are in the price.

Whatever we sell, we service, and this TASKalfa 6054ci is no exception. On a service agreement, one that fails is swapped for a working machine during the term. Rental on selected machines is priced from $15 a week plus GST, once finance is approved.

What to ask about a secondhand one

  • The meter reading. Pages printed so far, in writing. That number beats the build year as a guide to wear.
  • What comes with it. Extra trays, a finisher, a big paper deck: each one alters the work it can take and the figure on the quote.
  • Who looks after it. We do not sell a machine we cannot service, because a copier nobody can fix is no bargain.
  • Running cost. Get the mono and colour rates per page in writing, plus what each rate covers.

Replacement warranty

What if it fails? We replace it. Any year of the agreement.

If a machine on our service agreement fails, we replace it. That holds for new and secondhand machines alike, and for every way of paying: rental, lease, finance or an outright purchase. The cover lasts as long as the agreement does, every year of it.

A new copier normally carries the maker's warranty for 12 months, covering hardware but not consumables. Once that year is up, the service agreement carries the cover. The full terms of the replacement warranty are written into your agreement.

Questions

What people ask about the Kyocera TASKalfa 6054ci

Is a new TASKalfa 6054ci still available?

Not new. The TASKalfa MZ6001ci took over in Kyocera's range; a secondhand TASKalfa 6054ci from us is checked, graded and looked after by us.

What is the page count on a used TASKalfa 6054ci?

It varies, so we put the count in writing for the exact machine you are looking at. That number tells you more than its age.

Which should I get, the TASKalfa 6054ci or the TASKalfa 7054ci?

Same series, so the choice is speed: 60 pages per minute against 70. Tell us your headcount and monthly pages and we give you a straight answer.

Can the TASKalfa 6054ci go on a rental agreement?

Yes, once finance is approved. Selected machines can be rented from $15 a week plus GST. When the term is up, you move to a newer machine or hand this one back; send us the model for the written figures.
