Ricoh IM C6000, Secondhand in Sydney

Short answer: the Ricoh IM C6000 is an A3 colour photocopier that turns out 60 pages per minute. It copies and prints in colour on A4 and A3, and it scans. Secondhand ones come renewed, refurbished or used; every machine is checked, and its page count is yours in writing before you commit.

  • 60 pages per minute on A4
  • A3 colour: print, copy, scan
  • Three secondhand grades
  • On agreement: replaced if it fails

The short version

Ricoh slots the IM C6000 into its IM C2000 to C6000 range, a 2019 release as the 60 pages per minute option. Also in the series (pages per minute in brackets): IM C2500 (25), IM C3000 (30), IM C3500 (35) and IM C4500 (45). Worth knowing: it needs the optional single pass document feeder to reach 120 scanned images a minute, loads 1,200 sheets as standard and 4,700 fully optioned and feeds card up to 300 gsm. Ricoh has replaced it with the IM C6010.

How many people can share it?

Sized for thirty or more people, or a dedicated print room, going by its speed. Fewer pages to print? The IM C4500 runs at 45 pages per minute.

Secondhand: grades and payment

The grade sets the outlay and the page count tells you the wear, and you get both in writing. A rental or lease can run up to 60 months, limited by the machine's age, and delivery, network connection, scanning set up and a hands on run through for staff are included.

Under a service agreement, if the machine fails we replace it, for as long as the agreement runs. Selected machines can be rented from $15 a week plus GST; finance needs approval first.

Four checks before buying secondhand

  • The meter reading. Pages printed so far, in writing. That number beats the build year as a guide to wear.
  • What comes with it. Extra trays, a finisher, a big paper deck: each one alters the work it can take and the figure on the quote.
  • Who looks after it. We do not sell a machine we cannot service, because a copier nobody can fix is no bargain.
  • Running cost. Get the mono and colour rates per page in writing, plus what each rate covers.

Replacement warranty

What if it fails? We replace it. Any year of the agreement.

If a machine on our service agreement fails, we replace it. That holds for new and secondhand machines alike, and for every way of paying: rental, lease, finance or an outright purchase. The cover lasts as long as the agreement does, every year of it.

A new copier normally carries the maker's warranty for 12 months, covering hardware but not consumables. Once that year is up, the service agreement carries the cover. The full terms of the replacement warranty are written into your agreement.

Questions

What people ask about the Ricoh IM C6000

Is a new IM C6000 still available?

No, Ricoh has moved on to the IM C6010. Secondhand is the route now, and whichever one you take, we service it.

What sort of page count does a secondhand IM C6000 carry?

No two are the same. The count for the unit you are offered comes in writing, and it is the best single guide to wear.

Which should I get, the IM C6000 or the IM C4500?

Same series, so the choice is speed: 60 pages per minute against 45. Tell us your headcount and monthly pages and we give you a straight answer.

Can I rent the IM C6000 rather than buy it?

Yes, with finance approval. For this exact model we put the rental figure in writing, next to the outright price; on selected machines it starts from $15 a week plus GST.
