The short version

The IM C4500 is the 45 pages per minute model in Ricoh's IM C2000 to C6000 range, a 2019 release. Also in the series (pages per minute in brackets): IM C2500 (25), IM C3000 (30), IM C3500 (35) and IM C6000 (60). Useful numbers: it needs the optional single pass document feeder to reach 120 scanned images a minute, loads 1,200 sheets as standard and 4,700 fully optioned and feeds card up to 300 gsm. The model that took over is the IM C4510.

Secondhand, A3 colour, 45 pages per minute, in three grades.

Will it keep up with your office?

The straight answer on size: fifteen to thirty people on a busy floor. Busier than that, step up to the IM C6000, 60 pages per minute. Fewer pages to print? The IM C3500 runs at 35 pages per minute.

Secondhand: grades and payment

Three grades. Renewed is the top one: more parts replaced, close to new, and priced above refurbished. Refurbished means cleaned, serviced, worn parts replaced and tested, and it is the grade most people choose. Used is checked and working, for the lowest outlay. Whichever IM C4500 you pick, the page count is in writing before you commit, and delivery, network connection, scanning set up and a hands on run through for staff are in the price.

Whatever we sell, we service, and this IM C4500 is no exception. On a service agreement, one that fails is swapped for a working machine during the term. Rental on selected machines is priced from $15 a week plus GST, once finance is approved.

What to ask about a secondhand one

  • The meter reading. Pages printed so far, in writing. That number beats the build year as a guide to wear.
  • What comes with it. Extra trays, a finisher, a big paper deck: each one alters the work it can take and the figure on the quote.
  • Who looks after it. We do not sell a machine we cannot service, because a copier nobody can fix is no bargain.
  • Running cost. Get the mono and colour rates per page in writing, plus what each rate covers.

Replacement warranty

What if it fails? We replace it. Any year of the agreement.

If a machine on our service agreement fails, we replace it. That holds for new and secondhand machines alike, and for every way of paying: rental, lease, finance or an outright purchase. The cover lasts as long as the agreement does, every year of it.

A new copier normally carries the maker's warranty for 12 months, covering hardware but not consumables. Once that year is up, the service agreement carries the cover. The full terms of the replacement warranty are written into your agreement.

Questions

What people ask about the Ricoh IM C4500

Is a new IM C4500 still available?

No, Ricoh has moved on to the IM C4510. Secondhand is the route now, and whichever one you take, we service it.

What is the page count on a used IM C4500?

No two are the same. The count for the unit you are offered comes in writing, and it is the best single guide to wear.

Which should I get, the IM C4500 or the IM C6000?

Count the people printing. The IM C4500 does 45 pages per minute and the IM C6000 60, in the same series.

Can I rent the IM C4500 rather than buy it?

Yes, once finance is approved. Selected machines can be rented from $15 a week plus GST. When the term is up, you move to a newer machine or hand this one back; send us the model for the written figures.
