Where the IM C3000 fits in the Ricoh range

Ricoh slots the IM C3000 into its IM C2000 to C6000 range, a 2019 release as the 30 pages per minute option. The other speeds in the series are the IM C2500 (25), IM C3500 (35), IM C4500 (45) and IM C6000 (60), in pages per minute. Useful numbers: it needs the optional single pass document feeder to reach 120 scanned images a minute, loads 1,200 sheets as standard and 4,700 fully optioned and feeds card up to 300 gsm. Its successor in the Ricoh range is the IM C3010.

Who is it for?

Sized for somewhere between five and fifteen people, going by its speed. More people than that? The IM C3500 is the same series at 35 pages per minute. Printing less? The IM C2500 at 25 pages per minute may be all you need.

Which grade, and how do you pay?

The grade sets the outlay and the page count tells you the wear, and you get both in writing. A rental or lease can run up to 60 months, limited by the machine's age, and delivery, network connection, scanning set up and a hands on run through for staff are included.

Bought outright without a service agreement, the warranty depends on the machine, and we tell you what it is in writing before the sale. Add a service agreement and a failed machine is replaced at any point in the term. The rental figure on selected machines starts from $15 a week plus GST, provided finance is approved.

Secondhand? Check these first

  • The meter reading. Pages printed so far, in writing. That number beats the build year as a guide to wear.
  • What comes with it. Extra trays, a finisher, a big paper deck: each one alters the work it can take and the figure on the quote.
  • Who looks after it. We do not sell a machine we cannot service, because a copier nobody can fix is no bargain.
  • Running cost. Get the mono and colour rates per page in writing, plus what each rate covers.

Replacement warranty

What if it fails? We replace it. Any year of the agreement.

If a machine on our service agreement fails, we replace it. That holds for new and secondhand machines alike, and for every way of paying: rental, lease, finance or an outright purchase. The cover lasts as long as the agreement does, every year of it.

A new copier normally carries the maker's warranty for 12 months, covering hardware but not consumables. Once that year is up, the service agreement carries the cover. The full terms of the replacement warranty are written into your agreement.

Questions

What people ask about the Ricoh IM C3000

Is a new IM C3000 still available?

No. Ricoh replaced it with the IM C3010, so secondhand is the way to get one, and we service every one we sell.

What sort of page count does a secondhand IM C3000 carry?

It varies, so we put the count in writing for the exact machine you are looking at. That number tells you more than its age.

Which should I get, the IM C3000 or the IM C3500?

Speed is the difference: 30 pages per minute for the IM C3000, 35 for the IM C3500. Match it to how many people share the machine.

Can the IM C3000 go on a rental agreement?

Yes. Rental is not hire. You sign a business agreement, pay one regular amount, and the machine is serviced while you have it. Selected machines start from $15 a week plus GST, with approval.
