What is the bizhub 300i?

Konica Minolta slots the bizhub 300i into its bizhub 300i to 750i range as the 30 pages per minute option. The other speeds in the series are the bizhub 360i (36), bizhub 450i (45), bizhub 550i (55) and bizhub 650i (65), in pages per minute. From the maker's sheet, it needs the optional single pass document feeder to reach 100 scanned images a minute, loads 1,150 sheets as standard and 6,650 fully optioned and feeds card up to 300 gsm. Konica Minolta has replaced it with the bizhub 301i.

Secondhand, A3 black and white, 30 pages per minute, in three grades.

How many people can share it?

Sized for somewhere between five and fifteen people, going by its speed. Keep it to 25,000 pages a month or fewer, on Konica Minolta's recommendation. Busier than that, step up to the bizhub 360i, 36 pages per minute.

What does secondhand get you?

The grade sets the outlay and the page count tells you the wear, and you get both in writing. A rental or lease can run up to 60 months, limited by the machine's age, and delivery, network connection, scanning set up and a hands on run through for staff are included.

Whatever we sell, we service, and this bizhub 300i is no exception. On a service agreement, one that fails is swapped for a working machine during the term. Rental on selected machines is priced from $15 a week plus GST, once finance is approved.

Four checks before buying secondhand

  • The meter reading. Pages printed so far, in writing. That number beats the build year as a guide to wear.
  • What comes with it. Extra trays, a finisher, a big paper deck: each one alters the work it can take and the figure on the quote.
  • Who looks after it. We do not sell a machine we cannot service, because a copier nobody can fix is no bargain.
  • Running cost. Get the mono and colour rates per page in writing, plus what each rate covers.

Replacement warranty

What if it fails? We replace it. Any year of the agreement.

If a machine on our service agreement fails, we replace it. That holds for new and secondhand machines alike, and for every way of paying: rental, lease, finance or an outright purchase. The cover lasts as long as the agreement does, every year of it.

A new copier normally carries the maker's warranty for 12 months, covering hardware but not consumables. Once that year is up, the service agreement carries the cover. The full terms of the replacement warranty are written into your agreement.

Questions

Konica Minolta bizhub 300i: straight answers

Is a new bizhub 300i still available?

No, Konica Minolta has moved on to the bizhub 301i. Secondhand is the route now, and whichever one you take, we service it.

How much wear is on a secondhand bizhub 300i?

No two are the same. The count for the unit you are offered comes in writing, and it is the best single guide to wear.

25,000 pages a month is Konica Minolta's recommended figure, and 150,000 is the rated maximum for a single month.

Count the people printing. The bizhub 300i does 30 pages per minute and the bizhub 360i 36, in the same series.
