Ricoh MP 3555, Secondhand in Sydney

Short answer: the Ricoh MP 3555 is an A3 black and white photocopier that turns out 35 pages per minute. No colour, so there is one rate to watch: mono copying, printing and scanning up to A3. It is sold secondhand here in three grades, and the page count of the actual machine is put in writing before anything is signed.

  • 35 pages per minute on A4
  • A3 black and white: print, copy, scan
  • Three secondhand grades
  • On agreement: replaced if it fails

The short version

The MP 3555 is the 35 pages per minute model in Ricoh's MP 2555 to 3555 range. Also in the series (pages per minute in brackets): MP 2555 (25) and MP 3055 (30). Useful numbers: it scans double sided originals in one go, up to 110 images a minute, loads 1,200 sheets as standard and 4,700 fully optioned and feeds card up to 300 gsm. The model that took over is the IM 3500.

Who is it for?

Sized for somewhere between five and fifteen people, going by its speed. Quieter office? Look at the MP 3055, 30 pages per minute.

What does secondhand get you?

Every secondhand MP 3555 is checked before we offer it, and its page count is given to you in writing. Rental or lease terms reach 60 months on younger machines and run shorter on older ones, or you can pay outright. Delivery, network connection, scanning set up and a hands on run through for staff are part of the price, anywhere in greater Sydney.

Bought outright without a service agreement, the warranty depends on the machine, and we tell you what it is in writing before the sale. Add a service agreement and a failed machine is replaced at any point in the term. The rental figure on selected machines starts from $15 a week plus GST, provided finance is approved.

Four checks before buying secondhand

  • The meter reading. Pages printed so far, in writing. That number beats the build year as a guide to wear.
  • What comes with it. Extra trays, a finisher, a big paper deck: each one alters the work it can take and the figure on the quote.
  • Who looks after it. We do not sell a machine we cannot service, because a copier nobody can fix is no bargain.
  • Running cost. Get the mono and colour rates per page in writing, plus what each rate covers.

Replacement warranty

What if it fails? We replace it. Any year of the agreement.

If a machine on our service agreement fails, we replace it. That holds for new and secondhand machines alike, and for every way of paying: rental, lease, finance or an outright purchase. The cover lasts as long as the agreement does, every year of it.

A new copier normally carries the maker's warranty for 12 months, covering hardware but not consumables. Once that year is up, the service agreement carries the cover. The full terms of the replacement warranty are written into your agreement.

Questions

What people ask about the Ricoh MP 3555

Is a new MP 3555 still available?

No. Ricoh replaced it with the IM 3500, so secondhand is the way to get one, and we service every one we sell.

What sort of page count does a secondhand MP 3555 carry?

It varies, so we put the count in writing for the exact machine you are looking at. That number tells you more than its age.

Which should I get, the MP 3555 or the MP 3055?

Same series, so the choice is speed: 35 pages per minute against 30. Tell us your headcount and monthly pages and we give you a straight answer.

Can the MP 3555 go on a rental agreement?

Yes, once finance is approved. Selected machines can be rented from $15 a week plus GST. When the term is up, you move to a newer machine or hand this one back; send us the model for the written figures.
