What is the e STUDIO 401AC?

Toshiba slots the e STUDIO 401AC into its e STUDIO 401AC series, a 2026 release as the 40 pages per minute option. One other model shares the series: the e STUDIO 331AC, at 33 pages per minute. Worth knowing: it scans double sided originals in one go, up to 80 images a minute, loads 650 sheets as standard and 3,200 fully optioned and feeds card up to 256 gsm. You can still buy it new in Australia.

How many people can share it?

Our rule of thumb: it suits an office of up to around ten people, printing mostly A4. Printing less? The e STUDIO 331AC at 33 pages per minute may be all you need.

New: what is in the price, and how to pay

The maker's warranty comes with a new e STUDIO 401AC; on a new copier or printer that is usually 12 months on the hardware, with consumables not covered. Delivery, network connection, scanning set up and a hands on run through for staff are in the price.

With a service agreement in place, the e STUDIO 401AC is replaced if it fails, for as long as the agreement runs. Rental on selected machines is priced from $15 a week plus GST once finance is approved, and a lease can be arranged if you would rather.

Replacement warranty

What if it fails? We replace it. Any year of the agreement.

If a machine on our service agreement fails, we replace it. That holds for new and secondhand machines alike, and for every way of paying: rental, lease, finance or an outright purchase. The cover lasts as long as the agreement does, every year of it.

A new copier normally carries the maker's warranty for 12 months, covering hardware but not consumables. Once that year is up, the service agreement carries the cover. The full terms of the replacement warranty are written into your agreement.

Questions

Toshiba e STUDIO 401AC: straight answers

Is the Toshiba e STUDIO 401AC available brand new?

Yes. Toshiba still sells it new in Australia, and ours come with the maker's warranty plus delivery, network connection, scanning set up and a hands on run through for staff.

Which should I get, the e STUDIO 401AC or the e STUDIO 331AC?

Count the people printing. The e STUDIO 401AC does 40 pages per minute and the e STUDIO 331AC 33, in the same series.

Can I rent the e STUDIO 401AC rather than buy it?

Yes. Rental is not hire. You sign a business agreement, pay one regular amount, and the machine is serviced while you have it. Selected machines start from $15 a week plus GST, with approval.
