OKI MC873 and ES8473 MFP, Secondhand in Sydney

35 pages per minute in A3 colour, with copying and scanning, from a machine far smaller than a floor standing copier: that is the OKI MC873. Its twin, the ES8473 MFP, is the identical machine under the name OKI used for dealer sales. We offer both refurbished or used, and any one we sell, we service.

  • 35 pages per minute on A4
  • A3 colour: print, copy, scan
  • Refurbished or used
  • On agreement: replaced if it fails

What is the MC873?

OKI launched its MC800 series of A3 colour multifunctions in 2015, and the MC873 is the 35 pages per minute model. An LED engine does the printing; copying and scanning go up to A3; and it can live on a desk, a bench or the stand OKI makes for it.

Dealers sold the same machine as the ES8473 MFP, part of OKI's Executive Series, and OKI shows one set of photographs for the pair. Sales through OKI Australia finished in December 2025. OKI's support date: 31 December 2032.

Who is it for?

For an office short on floor space that still wants A3 colour. OKI's guide is about 10,000 pages a month; for a heavy month, its rating goes to 75,000. If you regularly print past the guide, a full size A3 copier is the better answer.

Which grade, and how do you pay?

The MC873 or ES8473 is available refurbished or used. Every machine is checked before we offer it, and its page count goes to you in writing. Rent or lease it for up to 60 months (its age decides the longest term), or pay outright. Delivery, network connection, scanning set up and a hands on run through for staff are part of the price.

With a service agreement in place, our replacement warranty lasts as long as the agreement: if the machine fails, we replace it. When the term ends, you upgrade or hand it back. On selected machines, rental is priced from $15 a week plus GST; finance needs approval.

Four checks before buying secondhand

  • Pages through it. We put the count in writing; on an OKI it says more than the year.
  • Drum and fuser life. Both wear with every page. Ask how much is left on each before you commit.
  • The extras. Additional trays, a stand or a duplex unit each change the work it can take on.
  • Support years left. Ask for OKI's support end date for the model; we give it to you, and we service whatever we sell.

Replacement warranty

What if it fails? We replace it. Any year of the agreement.

If a machine on our service agreement fails, we replace it. That holds for new and secondhand machines alike, and for every way of paying: rental, lease, finance or an outright purchase. The cover lasts as long as the agreement does, every year of it.

A new copier normally carries the maker's warranty for 12 months, covering hardware but not consumables. Once that year is up, the service agreement carries the cover. The full terms of the replacement warranty are written into your agreement.

Questions

OKI MC873: straight answers

Is the MC873 still supported by OKI?

Yes, until 31 December 2032 on OKI Australia's list. New sales stopped in December 2025.

Is the ES8473 different from the MC873?

No, only the name. OKI sold the ES8473 MFP through dealers; it has the same body and the same speed.

MC873 or MC853: which should I get?

The MC873 is the quicker and heavier duty of the two: 35 pages per minute to the MC853's 23, from one shared body.

Can a refurbished OKI MC873 go on a rental agreement?

Yes, subject to approval. A secondhand OKI can be rented over a term that fits its age, and selected machines start from $15 a week plus GST. Name the model and the figures arrive in writing.
