How many people can share it?

The straight answer on size: somewhere between five and fifteen people. The rated monthly maximum, 180,000 pages, is a stress figure; plan on far less. More people than that? The e STUDIO 3505AC is the same series at 35 pages per minute.

What does secondhand get you?

Three grades. Renewed is the top one: more parts replaced, close to new, and priced above refurbished. Refurbished means cleaned, serviced, worn parts replaced and tested, and it is the grade most people choose. Used is checked and working, for the lowest outlay. Whichever e STUDIO 3005AC you pick, the page count is in writing before you commit, and delivery, network connection, scanning set up and a hands on run through for staff are in the price.

Whatever we sell, we service, and this e STUDIO 3005AC is no exception. On a service agreement, one that fails is swapped for a working machine during the term. Rental on selected machines is priced from $15 a week plus GST, once finance is approved.

What to ask about a secondhand one

  • The meter reading. Pages printed so far, in writing. That number beats the build year as a guide to wear.
  • What comes with it. Extra trays, a finisher, a big paper deck: each one alters the work it can take and the figure on the quote.
  • Who looks after it. We do not sell a machine we cannot service, because a copier nobody can fix is no bargain.
  • Running cost. Get the mono and colour rates per page in writing, plus what each rate covers.

Replacement warranty

What if it fails? We replace it. Any year of the agreement.

If a machine on our service agreement fails, we replace it. That holds for new and secondhand machines alike, and for every way of paying: rental, lease, finance or an outright purchase. The cover lasts as long as the agreement does, every year of it.

A new copier normally carries the maker's warranty for 12 months, covering hardware but not consumables. Once that year is up, the service agreement carries the cover. The full terms of the replacement warranty are written into your agreement.

Questions

Toshiba e STUDIO 3005AC: straight answers

What sort of page count does a secondhand e STUDIO 3005AC carry?

It varies, so we put the count in writing for the exact machine you are looking at. That number tells you more than its age.

Which should I get, the e STUDIO 3005AC or the e STUDIO 3505AC?

Speed is the difference: 30 pages per minute for the e STUDIO 3005AC, 35 for the e STUDIO 3505AC. Match it to how many people share the machine.

Can the e STUDIO 3005AC go on a rental agreement?

Yes. Rental is not hire. You sign a business agreement, pay one regular amount, and the machine is serviced while you have it. Selected machines start from $15 a week plus GST, with approval.
