Toshiba e STUDIO 2508A, Secondhand in Sydney

Short answer: the Toshiba e STUDIO 2508A is an A3 black and white photocopier that turns out 25 pages per minute. No colour, so there is one rate to watch: mono copying, printing and scanning up to A3. It is sold secondhand here in three grades, and the page count of the actual machine is put in writing before anything is signed.

  • 25 pages per minute on A4
  • A3 black and white: print, copy, scan
  • Three secondhand grades
  • On agreement: replaced if it fails

The short version

Toshiba slots the e STUDIO 2508A into its e STUDIO 5008A series, a 2016 release as the 25 pages per minute option. The other speeds in the series are the e STUDIO 3508A (35) and e STUDIO 4508A (45), in pages per minute. Useful numbers: it scans double sided originals in one go, up to 240 images a minute, loads 1,200 sheets as standard and 3,200 fully optioned and feeds card up to 256 gsm.

Who is it for?

Our rule of thumb: it suits up to around five people. Busier than that, step up to the e STUDIO 3508A, 35 pages per minute.

Secondhand: grades and payment

Three grades. Renewed is the top one: more parts replaced, close to new, and priced above refurbished. Refurbished means cleaned, serviced, worn parts replaced and tested, and it is the grade most people choose. Used is checked and working, for the lowest outlay. Whichever e STUDIO 2508A you pick, the page count is in writing before you commit, and delivery, network connection, scanning set up and a hands on run through for staff are in the price.

Bought outright without a service agreement, the warranty depends on the machine, and we tell you what it is in writing before the sale. Add a service agreement and a failed machine is replaced at any point in the term. The rental figure on selected machines starts from $15 a week plus GST, provided finance is approved.

Four checks before buying secondhand

  • The meter reading. Pages printed so far, in writing. That number beats the build year as a guide to wear.
  • What comes with it. Extra trays, a finisher, a big paper deck: each one alters the work it can take and the figure on the quote.
  • Who looks after it. We do not sell a machine we cannot service, because a copier nobody can fix is no bargain.
  • Running cost. Get the mono and colour rates per page in writing, plus what each rate covers.

Replacement warranty

What if it fails? We replace it. Any year of the agreement.

If a machine on our service agreement fails, we replace it. That holds for new and secondhand machines alike, and for every way of paying: rental, lease, finance or an outright purchase. The cover lasts as long as the agreement does, every year of it.

A new copier normally carries the maker's warranty for 12 months, covering hardware but not consumables. Once that year is up, the service agreement carries the cover. The full terms of the replacement warranty are written into your agreement.

Questions

What people ask about the Toshiba e STUDIO 2508A

How much wear is on a secondhand e STUDIO 2508A?

It varies, so we put the count in writing for the exact machine you are looking at. That number tells you more than its age.

Which should I get, the e STUDIO 2508A or the e STUDIO 3508A?

Speed is the difference: 25 pages per minute for the e STUDIO 2508A, 35 for the e STUDIO 3508A. Match it to how many people share the machine.

Can the e STUDIO 2508A go on a rental agreement?

Yes, with finance approval. For this exact model we put the rental figure in writing, next to the outright price; on selected machines it starts from $15 a week plus GST.
